Overview

The literal meaning of Al Ain is the eye. It can also be interpreted as the spring, denoting a lovely oasis in the desert terrains. Al Ain is regarded as the Garden City of the UAE. It is an one-hour drive from Dubai or Abu Dhabi. It is the largest inland city of the country with its borders marked with reddish sand dunes. Historically, it was a stop of caravan trails. Today, Al Ain is the citadel of modernity in the country. It boasts of one of the oldest educational institutes in the Emirates, the Ail Ain University. The city has many vegetable farms and orchards. It also has numerous date trees. We reach the beautiful Hilli Garden which is 500-year old. From there, we visit the Ail Ain Museum to learn in details about the history and cultural heritage of the place. The museum helps us to trace back the ruling family of the region. As we proceed with the itinerary, we witness a bird’s eye view of the city from the top of the tallest mountain of Emirates, Jebel Hafeet. We have a lunch break in the afternoon. After that, we visit the largest camel market of the UAE. We return back to the hotel concluding the itinerary.
